Using a modified webcam for AstroImaging.

These pages have come about because of the numerous occassions I have been asked to explain the principles of webcam lunar, planetary and deepsky imaging.

All the advice and tips in these pages are based on using an SC1.5 modified toucam with a fast medium aperture scope - times for exposures, settings for gain, brightness, saturation and shutter speed will change depending on f ratio, seeing conditions, transparency, magnitude of the target object etc.

I plan to add basic starter tutorials for using Registax 2 and guidedog, but like all plans, let's just wait and see.

Please contact me if you have any questions or alternatively join UKAstroImaging where plenty of people will be able to help you out. I always try and answer emails as quickly as possible, but I do get quite a few.
